Emirates fliegt ab 30. März 2008 direkt von Deutschland nach Kapstadt
Ab dem 30. März 2008 bietet die internationale Airline der Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate zusätzlich zu der Strecke nach Johannesburg nun auch täglich den Flug nach Kapstadt an. Mit dem Ausblick auf die Fußball Weltmeisterschaften 2010 und Kapstadt als Touristenmagnet, sieht Emirates die Destination als interessant an.
Emirates fliegt von HAM, DUS, FRA und MUC nach Kapstadt. Auf der Website kann man momentan nur ab Frankfurt suchen und buchen. Emirates nutzt auf der Strecke Dubai – Kapstadt den Airbus A-330-200, mit 12 First, 42 Business und 183 Economy Klasse Sitzen ausgerüstet ist. Eine Boeing B-777 kommt ab 1. Oktober 2008, mit zusätzlichen 53 Economy-Klasse-Sitzen, laut Emirates zum Einsatz.
In Dubai startet der Emirates Flug EK 770 8:15 Uhr und landet in Kapstadt um 16:25 Uhr Ortszeit. In Kapstadt startet der Rückflug EK 771 um 18:10 Uhr und landet in Dubai am nächsten Tag um 06:00 Ortszeit.
Ein Flug von München nach Kapstadt gibt es ab 618,- Euro , bei einem Abflug am 1.Dezember 2009.
